My niece was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and it was quite devastating for her. She was resigned to the fact that she would have to give up all the food she loved. So I was elated when I found this recipe book full of healthy, delicious recipes that kids will love. I purchased a copy for her as well as for myself and we have really been having a lot of fun making the recipes.The first recipe we tried was the baked mozzarella sticks and the baked apples burnett. YUM! My niece loved it and so did her non-diabetic friends! Very delicious and a complete success. There are so many great dessert recipes and they are fun and easy to make. One of my faves is the zesty orange banana smoothy.
I like the format of the cookbook; it is very easy to follow, even for kids. The fonts are very readable. Directions are clear and concise.
I would definitely recommend this cookbook if you want to decrease the sugar intake of your kid's daily diet without depriving them of delicious food!
